Ohh Honey I'm Home...
Part 2: Networked: Networked Families
Since family is such a large part of my life currently with two little ones and a husband at home. I thought let's pick the Networked Families chapter and see how I could relate to it. Let's just say reading the statistics on women having children and then women working just bugged me. Women went from being homemakers with more than one child to entering the workforce with two or fewer children while still taking on the same responsibilities as homemakers. How is that fair? Just add onto our plates, please...
This meme might be a tad aggressive, but I thought it was humorous.
While this chapter of the book just made me feel like I have a majority of the responsibilities at home, I do have to agree that the internet has taken away the family social catch-up at dinner. My husband and I usually like to take the kids on a walk before or after dinner. This is a 1-mile walk where it's just us with no technology. It's when we can really decompress from the day.
Let's see what else there is to learn from the rest of the family chapter.
Signing off for the night! Time to spend a little time on Twitter :)
